ODYSSEY EQUALS EVILNESS!!!!!!!!!!

This has to be a quick post-sorry I haven't had time to post! Why? Three simple words.

ODYSSEY EQUALS EVILNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, seriously, it is finally not my fault that I did not post. You see, my teacher assigned the original Homer Odyssey the Monday after my last post. Because of all that horrid homework, plus math, Spanish, Roman report, etc, I have had 0 time to post and I had to stay up till eleven for a week also. When I finally finished, I had math stuff to catch up on. Plus, I was auditioning for a musical, and had to prepare for that too. Let alone a bunch of text book stuff I WAS given, that I thought I did not have to do. But enough complaining. After a week of finally having the time to read other blogs and catch up, I have given myself permission to write a post. Anyways, this post will be all about how much I hate the Odyssey. E, A, K, and S, if you are reading this, please don't comment! It's for safety reasons. Tell me at school. Also, if you don't like long complaining-ish posts, you may not want to read this. HOWEVER, I find it quite interesting and it's probably a dire warning not to read any literature by Homer.

Sooo......

The Odyssey is a stupid book,
About a guy who should die in a brook.
Here is the story of what happened to him,
After Odysseus left Troy by the brim.

He went to a cave to get some cheese,
Guess who came? Well, it wasn't bees.
Cyclops ate all of Odysseus' men.
That did not have normal names like Jack, James, and Ben.

They rid of Cyclops and started for,
Charybdis and Scylla, who were not a bore.
Charybdis was a whirpool, Scylla a beast,
Then they ate God's cattle, what a feast!

Everyone died except our hero,
Who I wish had a simpler name, like Nero.
He ended up on Calypso's horrible island,
And then left for Alcinoos-why not Ryland?

He then met Athena,
Who said he must not act like a hyena.
Odysseus went to his swineherd's home,
And there, dressed, ate, and combed.

He met his son and made a plan,
So the suitors from his house he could ban.
They hid the weapons, but the nurse found out,
Odysseus swore her to secrecy all about.

Odysseus strung the arrow hard,
Oh, Homer is worse than the Bard!
Antinoos dropped dead and bloody,
Likewise fell his old buddy.

Eventually Odysseus met his wife again,
And Telemachos was happy-but he'd be happier if he was just Ken.
So this horrible story is now told simple,
If you read this story, I'm sure you will get a dimple!

So, I'm very sorry you had to read this long complaining post,
But my poetry is not to boast,
I hope this poem settles your wish to read,
The very epic poem-
The Odyssey.

Sorry there has not been anything about the dolls in this post! I promise to put in something next time. It's just that there has not been much going on, and I had to put this into words somehow.

Thanks for your patience!

Life

Sooo....today is a huge Indian Celebration! I am performing a dance called Akasamlo with friends, which goes to this song. I am also doing another song on the violin, but the video is sort of weird, so I'm not posting a link to that.
Now in the dolls' life, they had an earthquake. Their school is littered in stuff, and it'll take months to fix the school. Also, they are in desperate need of more clothes, but I CANNOT BUY ANYTHING until the day after school lets out. Urgh!
Neela-Hairband with jasmine, earrings, necklace, 1 sari, 1 school dress.
Julie-Plastic hairband, blouse, belt, jeans, flip-flops.
Rebecca-Hair clip, alien outfit, dress, stockings, boots.
Ruthie-1 pajama, 2 casual dresses, shoes, socks, headband.
Felicity-1 ribbon, 1 dress, socks, shoes.
Sonali-1 hat, 3 hair ties, 3 shirts, 3 skirts, 1 pair of jeans, skates, 3 pairs of shoes, 1 pinafore, 1 pair of tights.
Gwen-1 headband, 1 belt, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 1 shirt, 1 sandals.
Kaya-4 hairties, 1 dress, 1 shirt, 1 skirt, 2 shoe pairs.

Well....

Well....I have no idea what to post. I mean, there is an end-of the-year picnic. We are planning it as a class and we will have fruit salad, egg sandwiches, and ice cream, which are all my favorite foods. Anyhow, Srujana wants to do so many things. She wants to do reviews, but she cannot buy anything until June, and only if she gets all A's for the rest of the year. She wants to do photos, but there's nothing interesting to photograph. She wants to do stop motions ASAP, but she doesn't even have the patience to play a book of violin harmony.
So, the other day, I wasn't feeling too well. I caught chicken pox, and I stayed in bed. Julie came over to tell me the gossip, since she already had chicken pox. Rumor has it that Srujana may be able to buy something very soon! It's so awesome, and I hope it's true. Maybe a food set? Or an outfit? I don't care, as long as it's good!

News

Soooooooo......I cannot get anything until mid-June, because I have to get straight A's for third and fourth quarter to get another doll, even though she has the money. I can go to a nearby store where they sell doll stuff, but they don't go often because it's not so close by. So that means that even though I am getting better at taking pictures, there won't be any really interesting things to take photos of. My creativity level has been running low recently, and I doesn't know what to do for my blog. Any ideas? Oh, yeah, and Julie is making a pie for home economics and needs someone to help her. I suggested Kaya, and Julie made a face.

Other News

Not much is happening at all. Ruthie is part of the environmental club at school. Earth Day is on April 22nd, and they are doing a huge celebration for it. They are cleaning up the whole place and doing demonstrations, exhibits, songs, plays, all kinds of things! Ruthie is part of the clean-up committee-she's president! It's really cool what she's doing. Everybody in the school has to sign up for a project. Kaya is on the clean-up committee, and I am doing a project on using up the earth's resources. It'll be so fun! We'll post pictures for sure......also, Srujana made a video a long time in the summer, but I think now she will soon post it. I have to go now, though, I am playing Chorus by Judas Machabus by Handel, and one part with my flute just doesn't sound right.
Bye!

Quick Update!

I despise them! They are driving Kaya and I crazy. Seriously, though, I hate it. Me gusta mucho dar lecturas. Here is one of them;

"Julie, honestly, how would you feel if someone came up to you, and said that your hair looked like caterpillars compared to how you looked on the front of the book? No, it doesn't matter if it's true or not. You need to quit it! For one, Kaya's hair is beautiful, though not as beautiful as her older sister's, and secondly, caterpillars are usually yellow, not black, so you should consider your own blonde hair more like a caterpillar than Kaya's! Now quit it and go back to posing for your team captain of the volleyball team pictures of which Kaya is on."

Well, talk to you later!
